A sofa in neutral hues that vary between pristine white to light browns and bluish-grays are generally the norm in most living rooms… that is, till just a few years ago! Today’s living rooms are going down a more exciting path with revitalized trends from ravishing 80s and nostalgic 70s making a grand comeback. A colorful and striking sofa is definitely a part of this exuberant new look. This is definitely our favorite way of putting the smart bookshelf to use, and it is undoubtedly the most popular choice among contemporary homeowners as well! A bookshelf in the open plan living area can delineate space, creating a distinct boundary between the living room and the dining area or kitchen without blocking light or visual connectivity. Apart from acting as a boundary, the shelf also adds to display and storage space and gives the living area a quick style upgrade. From those open, wiry bookshelves to the more sturdy ones in wood, you can pick a selection that best fits the style of your home and the overall ambiance.
The white and blue colors of this living room channel the appeal of the seaside, with the mesmerizing blue artwork serving as a centerpiece of the room, only rivaled by the woven coffee table. Woven furniture is the perfect choice when decorating the room in coastal decor. It embodies the comfort and almost holiday-like feeling that can only be felt at the beach while sipping cocktails! This open and bright living room looks free and airy! If you leave all the windows open and let the wind in it might feel like you are standing on a windy beach, surrounded by the sea, whose color is so beautifully represented by the blue furniture and pillows! While classical coastal living rooms are normally more subtle and serene, you can absolutely include bold elements – such as bright orange chairs – to challenge the traditional look and bring something modern to the table.

A long day at the office deserves at least a couple of minutes of rest in a comfortable place. Stefano Bigi created the Dolce Vita swivel chair and footrest combo for La Cividina Inc and obviously did a very good job. First thing that gets the attention is the shape and the powerful orange color. Crafted in ABS plastic also with steel colored or chromed, the set seems very special and has a radical modern look. Just by looking and knowing that it is covered with polyurethane foam and polyester fiber, I can bet the Dolce Vita chair and footrest set is really comfortable. I also enjoy the strong orange color, do you?

I was totally interested by this modern black rug designed by Liset Van der Scheer, because combined with a few pieces of black furniture, and a few white chairs you can get an amazing design. The base is made of wool and polyester knots to warranty a quality surface. The polyester fibre threads are notably very strong. The carpet model permits the hair thread to sway in different directions, giving it a varied appearance in combination with brightness. Finnaly you can get this stylish , radiant and strong, hand tufted in a wool and pylyester base rug from Casalis.

On Saiua I focus mostly on things for homes, but today I have found an interesting project that I can say is the largest public living-room, and a great place to visit if you are in Switzerland. City Lounge is an outdoor space in the center of St. Gallen, Switzerland, that has been designed by Carlos Martinez in collaboration with Pipilotti Rist and it was the winning entry at a design competition announced by the Schweizer Verbandes der Raiffeisenbanken (SVRB) and the city of St. Gallen. The project features a bright red surfacing that arise to have swept in like the tide, protecting everything in its path. At night, the streets are illuminated by blimp-shaped objects that hang from cables strung between the district’s contemporary office buildings.

All the tiles become as sets of six for an affordable $160 per set. The tiles are mushy as the designs are printed on closely cropped velvet. They are thus easy to clean. A damp fabric will serve for most surface spills but being modular means you can pick up any soiled tile for washing in the sink! So they are definitely suitable for kitchen or eating areas.

If you want to create your own PC look more fun and pleasure you do not have to design a living room inside. You can choose to decorate it in any other way. Just be careful not to use inflammable materials or items that might damage the PC. Now let’s examine a little this tiny living room. As you can see, there are a lot of details in there. There is the sofa, an armchair, a tiny table with a flower pot on top and even a floor lamp that plugs into one of the PC’s attachment power circuits. And if you think this is crazy, just take a closer look. You will see that there’s actually a very tiny gumball machine, a bottle of Coke and the New York Times paper sitting on one of the chairs.

- You should make a lot of analysis work before deciding on the look of your room. Just go through some magazines or catalogues, or better you can surf on Saiua and search for the designs, colors or styles you are longing for. Just tear the page of the design which you like and keep it aside for coming reference. After you get a collection of different designs, try to choose those designs which catch your interests and ideas the most. I agree that a lot of doubt will also prevail but you should be able to think and act fast and come to the conclusion as confusion will eat your time and take you nowhere. Also, once decided, you should not rue. So, you should also decide carefully and be firm by sticking to the decision.
